1. Burleigh Heads
If you like your beach session with a bit of a view, Burleigh Heads beach offers beautiful views of the Gold Coast skyline. Complete with a parkland and barbeque area, Burleigh Heads is the kind of beach you can spend an entire day at.
2. Main Beach
This beach is a local favourite, so you know it’s going to be good. Located in the northern suburbs of the Gold Coast, Main Beach is a lot less crowded than other Gold Coast beaches. Plus, it’s conveniently close to Sea World.
3. Surfers Paradise
Surfers Paradise is obviously famous because it is, well, a surfer’s paradise. But not only does it offer excellent waves, but the patrolled beach is also a hot spot when the sun goes down. The beach is often host to some great sandy dance floors and pumping tunes carrying on your holiday beach vibes well after the sun goes down.
4. Snapper Rock
Snapper Rock also known as Rainbow Bay, home of the Quickie Pro. When the conditions are right, surfers can enjoy rides as long as a kilometre at Snapper Rock.
5. Currumbin Beach
Grab a longboard, because Currumbin Beach is a perfect spot to learn to surf in the well patrolled, relatively uncrowded beach. Currumbin features Currumbin Lake and Creek, as well as Elephant Rock and Currumbin Rock.
6. Broadbeach
Broadbeach is a popular beach for the whole family, with flagged areas for swimming, a designated surfing area and parklands for sports and barbeques. If you’re a fitness feane, bring your running shoes and run the boardwalk.
7. Coolangatta Beach
Coolangatta comes with your usual beach trappings, plus a little added extra. It’s famous for its diving sites, and plays host to multiple big festivals through the year. Perfect to keep those summer beach vibes going year round!
